Golden Rule Counseling is a Professional Limited Liability Corporation providing access to behavioral health services within the immediate boundaries of East St. Louis, IL and the surrounding Metro East communities. Our vision is to promote mental, physical, and spiritual health to change lives and our mission is to provide wholesome counseling that offers practical and viable alternatives to help children, adolescents and families chart new directions to overcome adverse obstacles.
 

We assist individuals, couples and families with the following: (1) anger, conflict and stress management; (2) anxiety, inferiority, and self-esteem issues; (3) bereavement, grief, guilt, forgiveness, loss; and (4) interpersonal relationships, family adolescent problems, and other associative mental health concerns.

 

The services provided by Golden Rule Counseling include: assessment, diagnosis, treatment (including psychotherapy and counseling), client-centered advocacy, consultation, evaluation and prevention of mental illness, emotional, and/or behavioral disturbances. The Golden Rule Counseling model is designed to meet the needs of those individuals needing mental health care within their own community. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to render assistance, we prefer to use an individualized approach, whereby individuals are active participants in their treatment planning and outcomes.

Golden Rule Counseling is positioned to provide access to care within an reasonable amount of time. Our afternoon, evening, and weekend hours are flexible to accommodate the needs of our clients. The location is central which provides easy access via car, bus, and in some cases, walking.
